Incorporating color into the bleakness of a winter's day
| Welcome to the new Daisyhead Photography blog. This won't be an official website, nor will it be a professional blog. It will most likely be the daily ramblings of a frustrated photographer trying to find a new outlet. My goal of 2011 is to try to go outside of the box of the 'normal' maternity, child, wedding, newborn & family photographer and make a name for myself in the photography community. I aspire to be the next Ansel Adams or Dorthea Lange, cliche as that is. When I use the word "aspire" I mean I aspire to put the world on its axis with my work--to IN[spire] the next generation of photographers and artists. I don't need to be a household name like them...I just ASPIRE to touch a life or two along the way. It may be a pipe dream, but even the smallest people make the difference. |
What is the point of this blog... In my experience every artist that doesn't unleash their work in some other outlet, seem to implode within themselves. They artistically die. Like the end of a fireworks show on the fourth of July. I am one of those artists that feels themselves slowly imploding and looking for some outlet. I also want a new "hype" way to reach out to my fellow demographic. I hear blogs are slowly dying out...but maybe, just maybe I can reach a few people from my banter and over-analysis of my work.
I hope I haven't scared you away with my opening post, but I think if you continue on throughout the weeks, months, hopefully years, I plan on doing this blog...you will see that the reader is also rewarded. Maybe someday I will take a picture that will cheer you up, make you think, make you laugh... If all else fails you can just get a chuckle at me...I promise I take no offense.
